Once you have settled in one of our prestigious marinas such as Porto Montenegro, we strongly recommend that you first visit the towns in the Bay of Boka Kotorska. The must-see is the Old Town of Kotor and the famous walls that adorn it. If you are not much of a walking type, then the town of Perast is the right place for you. There you will learn about the famous love story hidden on the island of St. George, situated across Perast, along with the artificial island housing the church of Our Lady of the Rocks.

To feel a special atmosphere, we recommend visiting both islands by boat. When you finish the tour of Perast and hear all the legends about the town, continue on to the town of Risan. There you can admire Roman mosaics, the painstakingly reconstructed foundations of the villa of a noble family. This famous landmark, the oldest architectural monument in Montenegro, is about two thousand years old. From the Roman era, we take you to Herceg Novi, a town from the Ottoman era. You do not want to miss the Clock Tower and all the stairs, this town is known for, having as many as 100 thousand of them. From the Old Town, we wholeheartedly recommend visiting Marina Portonovi and having lunch in one of the newest hotels there, such as the One and Only.

The playful nature seems to have been spilling pearls when passing through Montenegro. From Herceg Novi, we take you north to Zabljak, to find another of those pearls – national Park Durmitor, named after a magnificent mountain, which hides numerous glacial lakes, most notable being the Black Lake, the Devil’s Lake, and the Snake Lake.

Whether you are in the south, central or north part of Montenegro, the hosts will make you feel special and nurtured. Never shy away from their hospitality, otherwise, you will miss the famous traditional delicacies, such as smoked prosciutto and oil marinated cheese. Leave room for a glass of homemade wine on the way back in the Zeta Plain.

On the way to Podgorica, the capital city, you will cross the bridge on Đurđevića Tara (or simply, the Tara Bridge), built between 1937 and 1940, and one of the most visited attractions in Montenegro. The Tara Bridge has always been a great inspiration to many artists, and its magnificent beauty has been admired even by world-renowned architects and engineers. No wonder it found its spot among the top 10 most beautiful bridges on the planet.

In addition to Durmitor, there is Biogradska Gora, one of the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves, encompassing one of the last three large virgin rainforests in Europe, and the magnificent Tara River Canyon. These are just a few of many wonders of nature, which was generous when creating Montenegro. Via the Moraca River Canyon, we descend towards the capital city of Podgorica, the countries social and economic hub, and a true mix of old and new.

When leaving the capital, the view will open to the Zeta Plain, with one of the largest vineyards in Europe. Further south through the Zeta Plain, the old road will take you to the village of Virpazar along the lakeshore all the way to one of the largest beaches.

The calm of the Skadar Lake, the largest lake in the Balkans, is “disturbed” only by the gentle bird flights. The lake is one of Europe’s top 5 sites for winter birds and is also an Important Bird Area.

In the very south of Montenegro, forever in love with each other, the Bojana River and the Adriatic Sea have created one of the most beautiful beaches on the Montenegrin coast – Velika plaza. Its length is 13 km and it features fine and healing sand. Sunsets on Ada Bojana, a small island created by a river delta of the Bojana River, will take your breath away.

Lovers of nightlife will be delighted with the city of Budva, often referred to as the Montenegrin Miami, for its numerous nightclubs and the venue of the Sea Dance Festival.

Your Montenegro tour will end in its starting point the quiet but intriguing town Tivat.
