Here’s our selection of the best events in Croatia in 2021. We add to this list at all times (as new events or additional details are announced), so do check back regularly! If there’s anything you think we’ve missed, please feel free to send us your feedback. For the latest updates we strongly recommend checking out website or social media pages of each event periodically.

05. June. – DUGI ISLAND TRAIL

If you wonder, why this trail is significantly different from any other island race you participated in, and if you are hesitant whether to participate or not, we assure you that this island jewel is a work of nature for outdoor activists.

01. July. – DIMENSIONS FESTIVAL

Dimensions 2021 will be another magical event, combining the best of house, techno, soul, disco, jazz, dub, R&B, world and beyond. Tickets can be bought online via the official website.

09. July. – ULTRA FESTIVAL

A Part of the famous Ultra brand that hosts events all over the world, Ultra Europe, hosted at prominent clubs first burst into the Croatian festival scene several years ago.

10. July. – DUBROVNIK SUMMER FESTIVAL

Dubrovnik Summer Festival is undoubtedly the largest and most representative cultural manifestation, not only in Dubrovnik, but throughout Croatia. First festival was organized in 1950 and has been popular ever since. The festival begins on July 10th and lasts until August 25th. We recommend you check out their programme to find an event to your liking.

16. July. – BLUE LAGUNE CROATIA OPEN

Over the years, Umag has become one of the most recognizable tennis venues of the ATP World Tour, and the tournament in Umag has had the privilege of seeing some of the biggest tennis players in the history of the sport growth on its courts.

17. July. – PULA FILM FESTIVAL

Pula Film Festival is an annual Croatian film festival, established in 1954. It is held in a Roman amphitheatre known as the Pula Arena. Pula Film Festival is the oldest Croatian film festival.

14. July. – SPLIT SUMMER FESTIVAL

The Split Summer Festival runs for about a month from mid-July to mid-August. Much like the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, this festival features open-air theatre, music and dance performances at various special venues around the city, including in and around Diocletian’s Palace. Their opera show will leave you breathless.

25. July. – ST. JACOB’S DAY

Rabska Fjera is a famous medieval-style summer festival on the island or Rab with plenty of re-enactments and authentic costumes – that takes place every July. The entire island goes back in time during those days. Small artisan stores move to the streets, so you can have your belt, or a perfumed pomade made of the spot while your hair is being braided with tiny flowers into a typical do from the medieval times.

08. August. – SINJSKA ALKA

On the first weekend of August each year, a very famous horseback tournament takes place in the town of Sinj, near Split. Now in its 306th year the Sinjska Alka welcomes competitors on horseback armed with lances, aiming to hit the inside of a metal ring (the alka) with points awarded according to which part of the ring they hit.

17. August. – DINARIC RALLY

The Dinaric Rally is an amateur motorbike cross country race set in the Dinaric Alps, around the town of Knin. This year it will be held from 17th to 22nd of August. Dinaric Alps are a mountain range of contrasts. These mesmerizing mountains have always been a safe haven for nature lovers.

05. September. – HIDEOUT FESTIVAL

One of the delights of attending a festival in Croatia are the boat parties that accompany it. Hideout is no exception, and details of their fantastic boat parties will be announced in due course. And alongside the boat parties, Hideout also hosts its famous pool parties!

18. September. – MARCO POLO CHALENGE

Get your running shoes, wetsuits and bikes ready and join us for what is arguably the world’s most stunning triathlon course that runs along the medieval streetscapes of Korčula, cool pine forests and coastline with spectacular views of the open sea. This year Thriatlon Marco Polo Challenge is scheduled to take place on September 19th and 20th.

26. September. – SPLIT MARATHOON

Don’t miss the unique marathon festival in Split. The start and finish of all races takes place on Split’s Riva, and all tracks go through the most beautiful parts of the city. Split Marathon in Diocletian‘s city of Split goes along the certified trail around the peninsula with a short trip to Solin and a tour of Vranjica.
