Croatia’s Top Yacht Embarkation Spots

Explore Croatia’s finest embarkation spots all in one place with A+ Yachting’s guide. Uncover the best ports and hidden gems for your next yachting adventure!

Cavtat (Near Dubrovnik)

Dubrovnik Airport is the only airport in Croatia that offers VIP service for private jets, and it is worth the fee. Cavtat port is minutes away from the airport, and it is a top spot for guest pickup. Yachts up to 60m can dock in the city, while others anchor at Tiha Bay.

Tiha Bay offers free anchorage, convenient for larger yacht, and it became a favorite spot for 60+ m yachts in between guests. Charming restaurants, nearby beaches, and a quick tender ride to supermarkets ease crew tasks.

Dubrovnik Port is approximately 30 min drive away and berths for up to 60 m yachts are available in Frapa Marina Dubrovnik. For larger yachts, the Port of Dubrovnik is an option, but make your reservations early, as cruise ships are having priority and keeping docks occupied most of the season.

Brač

Brač Airport is perfect for private jet landings.

Offering a stunning aerial view during the landing, the view stretches from beautiful Milina Bay to Golden Horn Beach and Hvar’s Kabala Peninsula and Stari Grad (Old Town). It is an experience for the guests, both the view and landing at such a small charming island airport.

Although Aci marina doesn’t accommodate superyachts, pickup from the anchorage is viable. Port of Bol’s city dock is a short 10-minute ride from the anchorage.

Trogir (Near Split)

Trogir is a better pickup spot for guests arriving in Split.

Trogir is minutes away from Split Airport, unlike Split Marina, which is a 35-minute drive when there is no traffic. Realistically, with summer traffic jams, convenience favors Trogir, with only a 15-minute journey versus an hour to Split Marina.

Trogir is a charming little city, with a beautiful city dock that can accommodate any size of a yacht.

Zadar

Zadar Airport, though smaller and not as well commercially connected as Split’s airport, offers efficient service without the crowds. That is why we always favor Zadar over Split for private jet guests.

While lacking official VIP treatments for private jets, Zadar’s staff ensures excellent service every time.

The city dock is beautiful and convenient for any size yacht, as well as Tanker Commerce Marina.

Krk Island / Rijeka

Another very nicely connected international airport, in the vicinity of Port of Rijeka, is located at Krk airport.

It is conveniently located 10 min drive away from the nearest tender pick-up point, and it is very popular among larger clients.

The airport is approx 20-30 min ride away from the Port of Rijeka.

Pula

Pula offers another option for embarkation.

A beautiful city dock is perfectly located, 10 min walk away from the Old Town, and 20 min away from the airport.
