Your vacation can still be a dream one, stress-free, and fully tailored to your wishes and needs.
The COVID-19 pandemic has forced us to change the way we go about our daily lives, and certainly the way we vacation. While spending time onboard is the ultimate isolation, when you do wish to enjoy the places you are visiting, social distancing is a must.
That is why we have looked for tours you can take away from the summer crowds, and get to know the Adriatic coast in the right way.
Biking is ideal for everyone who loves physical activities. It allows keeping a safe distance from others while visiting a number of great locations.
In Montenegro, we love the route up the old windy serpentine roads of Kotor. It includes around 40 minutes of active riding and stunning views over the Bay of Kotor. If the elevation fails to take your breath away, the views and nature will not. Another great tour we recommend is the one around the entire Bay of Boka. It is a 50 km long route, and you get to be accompanied by a car for complete safety. See the “Pearl of the Adriatic” up-close!
Jump in a kayak or diving gear, and explore any of 11 caves along the Montenegrin coast, its submarines tunnels, and magical underwater world. These are just some of the activities to enjoy the beautiful nature while maintaining social distance.
Quad rides are a fun and safe way to explore new destinations, and especially locations impossible to reach by car or boat. Take an ATV quad tour of beautiful Lovcen National Park, or explore the coast and villages of the Lustica peninsula. These are some of the locations to succumb to the great charms of Montenegro. Such tours usually have private picnic options, based on traditional Montenegrin specialties.
Croatia has amazing national parks. There are eight of them and are all breathtaking.
Mljet National Park is perfect for people who love a little bit of adventure and stunning scenery. We recommend exploring it by bike. It is truly a hidden gem.
Krka National Park, named after the Krka River, covers the area of just over 142 square km and includes two-thirds of the river itself. The top attraction is its magnificent waterfalls, which are one of Croatia’s most famous sights. We recommend a private tour for an unforgettable experience of the Krka waterfalls. It includes private boat, lunch, and carefree swimming under fairytale-like waterfalls.
Less frequented islands, such as Vis, Lastovo, and Peljesac are also great options for keeping your distance this summer. Numerous tours are available there that allow complete privacy. You can visit an old oyster farm, explore the seaside nature and villages on bikes, visit beautiful caves by kayak, enjoy water sports activities, and dive in enchanting locations such as the Kornati archipelago.
If your yacht is in a marina, and you wish to avoid the crowds, we can arrange for private cooking classes, wine tours in locations outside the urban areas, where you can enjoy the nature and taste superb traditional food and selected Croatian wines.
Another option are helicopter tours to admire the scenic views over Croatian towns, bays, and islands.
